A pocket MIDI groovebox, designed by AI

Digital instruments live on I2S and MIDI, not on OTAs. This board is a USB-C ESP32 groovebox: TRS MIDI in and out, a stereo DAC into a real headphone amp, and a bank of panel pots on one ADC. Firmware owns the sound; Ohmni owns the hardware.

What ends up on the board

  • USB-C power and a 3.3 V rail
  • ESP32 module plus programming header
  • MIDI TRS type-A in and out
  • I2S stereo DAC into a DirectPath headphone amp
  • Four panel pots scanned through an analog mux

How Ohmni designs it

  1. The circuit is generated from your description: UART pins for MIDI, I2S pins for the DAC, ADC1 for the pot mux.
  2. The 3.3 V rail is sized for the DAC and headphone peaks, then simulated and rule-checked.
  3. You download gerbers, a BOM, and a 3D preview, ready for your fab.
