Short answers about what Ohmni does and how it works.
What does Ohmni actually produce?
Fabrication files for a real circuit board: gerbers, a bill of materials (BOM), and a 3D preview. You can send the gerbers to any board fab that accepts standard files, which is most of them.
Is Ohmni free?
Yes. The full design studio is free. Paid plans (Pro and Team) are coming later and add saved history, private boards, and team workspaces — the free tier keeps the full design capability.
Do I need to know electronics?
No. You describe the product in plain language — what it should do, how it is powered. Ohmni picks the parts, wires the circuit, and lays out the board. If the brief is vague, it asks a couple of questions first.
How do I know the design works?
Every design is checked before it reaches you: the circuit is simulated and the board layout is verified against manufacturing rules. If a check fails, Ohmni fixes the design and rechecks it automatically.
Can I change a design after it is generated?
Yes. Designs are iterative — tell the chat what to change ("add a reset button", "switch to battery power") and the board is redesigned and rechecked.
Where can I manufacture the board?
Anywhere that accepts standard gerber files: JLCPCB, PCBWay, OSH Park, Aisler, or your usual fab. The BOM lists every part so you can order components alongside the boards.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Ohmni runs in the browser. There are no EDA tools to learn and no netlists to write.
Can my team use it together?
A shared team workspace — organizations, member roles, shared design history, and centralized billing — ships with the Team plan. Individual use works today in the free studio.
